A walk through its massive gates, beautifully-crafted temples and large courtyards will transport you back in the time of the maharajas. Mix heritage with spirituality at the Galtaji Temple, an ancient Hindu religious centre situated around 10 km away from the city of Jaipur.  Otherwise known as the Monkey Temple because of the presence of the several tribes of monkeys around it, this temple is nestled amid natural wonders.

There are two seasonal events in Jaipur that has become parts of India’s pop culture and essential things to do in Jaipur – the vintage car rally and the Jaipur Literature Festival. The former is organized by the Rajputana Automotive Sports Car Club in association with the Department of Tourism and usually takes place in the month of February. The latter on the other hand, takes place in January every year at the Diggi Palace Hotel.
